TikTok Advertising Privacy

How we use TikTok advertising services and the data practices associated with them.

Guangzhou Yuanqi Dynamic Technology Co., LTD ("AIRJOUR") uses TikTok advertising services, including the TikTok Pixel and TikTok For Business platform, to promote our products and services on TikTok. This notice explains how TikTok advertising technologies work on our website, what data is collected, and your choices regarding data collection. This notice supplements our main Privacy Policy.

1. TikTok Ads Overview

TikTok Ads is TikTok's self-service advertising platform that allows businesses to create and manage ad campaigns across TikTok and its partner apps. We use TikTok Ads to reach potential customers through various ad formats:

  • In-feed ads: Short video advertisements that appear naturally in users' "For You" feed, seamlessly integrated with organic content. These ads can include call-to-action buttons directing users to our website or product pages.
  • TopView ads: Premium full-screen video ads that appear when users first open the TikTok app, providing maximum visibility and engagement for our brand.
  • Brand takeover: Full-screen static or video ads that appear before any other content when users open TikTok, offering an immersive advertising experience.
  • Spark ads: Ads that boost organic TikTok posts from our brand or creator partners, appearing natively in users' feeds with authentic engagement features.

Through these ad formats, we aim to introduce our TPU inflatable health care products, cooling suits, and air wave massage systems to TikTok's diverse global audience, particularly users interested in health, wellness, and innovative lifestyle products.

2. TikTok Pixel and Data Collection

We use the TikTok Pixel on our website to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns and optimize ad delivery. The TikTok Pixel is a piece of code that collects the following data when you visit our website:

  • Page visit events: Which pages you visit on our website, including product pages, the FAQ section, and contact form pages. This helps us understand which content resonates with TikTok users.
  • User actions: Specific actions you take on our website, such as clicking buttons, viewing products, adding items to a cart, submitting forms, and completing purchases. These are tracked as "events" by the Pixel.
  • Device and browser data: Your IP address (which may be truncated), browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, language, and timezone. This data helps TikTok optimize ad delivery across different devices.
  • URL and referrer data: The URL of the page you are visiting and the referrer URL (how you arrived at our website). This helps TikTok attribute your visit to the correct ad campaign.
  • TikTok cookie data: The TikTok Pixel may read and set cookies in your browser to identify your visit and associate it with your TikTok activity. These cookies help TikTok connect your website visit with your TikTok account activity for ad targeting and measurement.

The TikTok Pixel also supports an Events API (server-side tracking), which sends similar event data directly from our servers to TikTok. This ensures more reliable tracking even when browser-based tracking is limited by cookie restrictions or ad blockers.

3. Audience Targeting

We use TikTok's audience targeting features to ensure our ads reach users who are most likely to be interested in our products:

  • Demographic targeting: We may target our ads based on age, gender, location, and language to reach our core customer demographics. For example, we may target adults aged 25-54 in specific geographic regions.
  • Interest-based targeting: TikTok allows advertisers to target users based on their interests and behavior on the platform, such as interest in health and wellness, sports and fitness, outdoor activities, and technology.
  • Custom audiences: We may create custom audiences by uploading hashed customer data (such as email addresses from our newsletter subscribers) to TikTok. This data is hashed using SHA-256 encryption before upload, meaning TikTok never receives your raw personal data from us.
  • Lookalike audiences: We may use TikTok's lookalike audience feature to find new users whose profiles and behaviors are similar to our existing customers, helping us expand our reach to potential customers with similar interests.

4. Retargeting Practices

We use TikTok's retargeting features to re-engage users who have previously interacted with our brand:

  • Website retargeting: If you visit our website after seeing our TikTok ad or through any other channel, the TikTok Pixel adds your browser to a retargeting audience. We can then show you relevant ads on TikTok to encourage you to return and complete an action, such as submitting an inquiry or requesting a quotation.
  • Video engagement retargeting: We can create audiences of users who have engaged with our TikTok video ads—such as watching at least 50% of the video, liking, sharing, or commenting—and serve them additional content to deepen their engagement with our brand.
  • Dynamic product ads: Based on the products you viewed on our website, we may show you personalized ads on TikTok featuring those specific products, encouraging you to revisit and learn more.
  • Audience window: Our retargeting audiences are configured with a membership window of up to 180 days, meaning you may see our retargeting ads for up to 180 days after your last interaction with our website or content.

5. Data Sharing and Retention

When we use TikTok Ads, data is shared between our website and TikTok as follows:

  • Data sent to TikTok: The TikTok Pixel and Events API send website visit and event data to TikTok's servers. This data is used to match your website activity with your TikTok account (if you have one) for ad targeting and measurement.
  • TikTok's use of data: TikTok uses the data to deliver and measure our advertising campaigns, improve ad targeting, and provide reporting insights. TikTok's use of your data is governed by TikTok's own Privacy Policy.
  • Data retention: TikTok retains Pixel data in accordance with its data retention policies. We configure our Pixel to limit data retention where possible. Custom audience data (hashed customer information) is typically retained for the duration of the advertising campaign and then deleted.
  • Cross-border transfers: TikTok is a global platform, and data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside your own, including the United States and Singapore. These transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards as described in TikTok's Privacy Policy.

6. Your Controls and Opt-Out

You have several options to control TikTok advertising and data collection:

  • TikTok ad personalization: In the TikTok app, go to Settings and Privacy > Privacy > Personalization and data to manage your ad personalization preferences. You can turn off ad personalization, which means you will still see ads but they will not be based on your activity or interests.
  • TikTok data download: You can request a download of your TikTok data by going to Settings and Privacy > Privacy > Download your data. This allows you to see what data TikTok has collected about you.
  • Delete TikTok account: If you delete your TikTok account, your data will be removed from TikTok's active databases (though some data may be retained for legal or legitimate business purposes).
  • Browser controls: You can manage cookies in your browser settings, including blocking the TikTok Pixel cookie. You can also use browser extensions to block tracking scripts. Note that this may affect website functionality.
  • Opt-out of interest-based ads: On mobile devices, you can limit ad tracking. On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. On Android, go to Settings > Google > Ads and select "Opt out of Ads Personalization."
